I am pretty happy with this. I managed to get Gollum running on my DreamHost shared hosting environment (on Passenger). Now I have a Ruby wiki engine running from a Git repository of plain Markdown files in flat folder structure. Yes. I can edit through the web, or the Git repo online or offline.

I’m thinking of writing a big step-by-step tutorial because there are a lot of people trying to achieve this without much success.
